Calust'Rea is often depicted as an ethereal being of unmatched beauty, her form shifting between a thousand perfect expressions of allure, sometimes a radiant woman with flowing golden hair and eyes like liquid sapphire, sometimes an enigmatic figure with shifting features, like a living painting that changes with every gaze. depictions of the goddess often show her wielding in her hands a mirror, symbolizing her reflection of beauty in all things, and a vine of roses that grows ever upwards, representing the flourishing of indulgence and desire. Poetic writing of the goddess of lust say that those who hear her call feel compelled to seek joy and beauty in every moment, for she teaches that to neglect beauty is to neglect life itself. In modern interpretations of the goddess, Calust'Rea’s beauty is not only in what is seen; it lies within the depths of experience, in the heart of every kiss, every touch, every moment of unrestrained joy. She is a part of the Trinity of Women, along with her mother, Nissa'Lune and her sister, Lyri'Liah.
The goddess of Lust and Beauty gained her Domains through the instruction of her mother, Nissa'Lune. She preaches indulgence, not as a means of excess for excess’s sake, but as a celebration of life itself. To indulge in beauty, to indulge in the pleasures of the body and the spirit, is to honor the divine gift of existence. She encourages her followers to seek pleasure not only in physical forms: sex, food, drink, music, art, but also in moments of emotional connection, laughter, and even in the fleeting passage of time. For beauty can be found in the simplest of things: the touch of a hand, the sparkle in someone’s eyes, the warmth of the sun. Her teachings hold that to reject beauty and pleasure is to reject one's own divinity. Thus, she embraces the sensual and the erotic not as something dirty or shameful, but as sacred. Through the act of lovemaking, through the expression of passion, the divine is brought closer to the mortal realm.
As the Goddess of Lust and Beauty, Calust'Rea is a fierce protector of those who are often marginalized or mistreated in society, especially women and sex workers. In her eyes, the body is a sacred vessel of divine power, and no one should ever be shamed for their desires or the ways in which they choose to express their own beauty. She fiercely defends the rights of those who trade in affection, desire, and intimacy, granting them her favor and protection. Under her watch, they are free to embrace their calling without fear of judgment or persecution. Through her, they gain not only physical protection but spiritual empowerment. To serve Calust'Rea is to know one's worth, to see oneself as a goddess or god in their own right, and to stand proudly in the face of societal disdain.
Women find solace under her guidance. Calust'Rea is a fierce advocate for their autonomy, their right to revel in their own power, and their right to be unapologetically themselves. Her followers are taught to see themselves as the vessels of divine beauty, to own their bodies and their desires without shame, and to live unapologetically and boldly. Temples dedicated to Calust'Rea are places of celebration and beauty. These sanctuaries are adorned with intricate mosaics, delicate sculptures, and vibrant tapestries that capture the myriad facets of human desire and the full spectrum of beauty—both the tender and the fiery. The air in these temples is always thick with the scent of roses, jasmine, and incense, and soft music often plays in the background, filling the spaces with an air of calm joy. In these temples, ceremonies are not somber, but are full of music, dancing, and feasting. Rituals often include expressions of love, both physical and emotional, and it is not uncommon for individuals to find not only spiritual fulfillment but also physical connection with others in the temple’s sacred halls. These spaces serve as havens where beauty and indulgence are both sacred and divine.
Many tales spoken by word of mouth and written by scholars and bards of the past tell us that Wine, in all its forms, is sacred to Calust'Rea. Her Domain is not merely that of drunken revelry, but of the wine that brings both clarity and madness. It is through the consumption of wine that her followers connect with both the euphoria and the cruelty of their existence. In the dark corners of cities and the halls of palaces, it is said that her influence can be felt most strongly, where a cup of wine could carry whispers, where a toast might seal a secret pact, and where a night of indulgence could turn into a night of deadly consequences. This makes the connection to her Domain of Poisons as old as her connection to wines. She was the first to see the dual nature of all things, and it was she who taught mortals the art of turning joy into peril, after learning the secrets of the divine drink from Cor'Neas. To the thieves and assassins who seek her favor, she whispers the secrets of venom and toxin—how to change the nectar of the gods into something deadly. Her followers learn to craft poisons that could bring ecstasy or agony, or even erase a person from the world entirely, all in the same breath. To these practitioners, Calust'Rea is both a teacher and a test. Her poisons are not mere tools of murder; they are riddles wrapped in liquid and dust, a way to test one’s understanding of life itself. A single drop of her venom can bring a lover’s kiss, but it could also bring a slow and agonizing death. The goddess of lust and ecstasy teaches that indulgence is not to be feared; instead, it is to be embraced fully, for indulgence is the gateway to understanding the true complexity of existence. A glass of wine shared with friends may be filled with laughter, but when offered in solitude, it can be filled with melancholy, revelation, and loss. This balance between joy and sorrow is the core of her teachings.
Calust'Rea is also the goddess of secrets, and it is in the shadows where she is most revered. Her followers are those who move unnoticed through the worl, the spies, thieves, and assassins who dwell in the hidden places. They understand that secrets are both a weapon and a shield, a means of control and a source of power. Calust'Rea teaches that the truth is never fully known, and the greatest wisdom lies in what is not said. Temples made by secret organizations to her are often built in hidden alcoves, veiled in the secrecy of night. There, her followers gather to offer prayers in silence, each person a keeper of their own truths. They light candles in her name and drink wine in tribute, knowing that what they share in the dark may never see the light of day. But in the shadows, Calust'Rea speaks to them. Through her, they learn that secrets are both burden and freedom, and to carry one is to walk a path of both power and isolation. She is the keeper of the deepest emotions, the unspoken desires, the shadows of the soul that often remain unseen by others.
In her presence, the most concealed truths are revealed, but not always in ways that are expected. The goddess does not simply uncover secrets, she teaches those who seek her wisdom how to embrace the hidden aspects of themselves, to release the powerful aether that lies dormant within the heart. Calust'Rea does not offer her knowledge freely. Primarily, her students are women, who she shelters and shows the secrets of their beauty and power. She teaches her students to learn and embrace their inner desires, and to manifest confidence, body and soul. Her lessons are subtle and often cryptic, given only to those who are ready to delve into the murky depths of their own souls. Her strong connection to women, as both a protector and a teacher, brings her into the fold of the Trinity, mostly focused on women ready to blossom and learn secrets of the heart. She is the goddess of introspection, encouraging the Children to explore their innermost feelings—both the light and the dark. She teaches that true power lies not in the control of emotions, but in the release of them, in the willingness to face one's deepest truths and to let them flow without fear or shame. Under her guidance, those who seek her wisdom learn to harness the aether of their hearts. This aether is not simply emotion—it is energy, raw and untamed, capable of both creation and destruction. To release it is to unlock the deepest wells of one's own potential, but it can be dangerous if not understood. Calust'Rea teaches that balance is key: one must not allow the aether to consume them, but neither should it be bottled up or hidden away. The goddess helps her followers to channel this energy, guiding them to use it for insight, for healing, and for transformation.
Followers of Calust’Reah are often seen as a rambunctious lot, zealously and enthusiastically indulging in the gifts of their patron goddess. Calust’Reah welcomes anyone who is worthy and ready to dip into the waters of her secret pleasures, as is her nature. She took the mysteries and secrets of life from her mother, Nissa’Lune, and made them her domain. She embraced the passionate desire for physical and material pleasure, she gave of these gifts to mankind freely.
Often, her ideals are associated with mind altering substances, as it is with an open mind that secrets of the unconscious can be unlocked. No substance is more strongly related to her than the bitter sweet wine of fruits, that flow endlessly from her chalices into the mouths of her fervent followers. Wine is a sacred drink to the goddess, and any true follower of the mistress of pleasure can tell you where and how it came to be so.
Our story begins in the time when the gods still roamed alongside mankind. The twin gods, Eris’Neas and Cor’Neas, were both struck with lust over the beautiful goddess of revelry. At the time, Calust’Rea had not yet come into the full spectrum of her current domain, she was young, but cunning and ambitious. The two brothers of Virility came to meet the goddess and were immediately enthralled by her alluring beauty.
Both brothers bid separately for the goddess’ attention, but Calust’Rea, cunning and all knowing, issued them a challenge. She took the opportunity to gain something from each of the brothers, and made a request to them.
“What if I told you that moments ago your brother can to me asking for my hand?” She asked the first brother, Eris’Neas.
Eris’Neas answered and said, “allow me to prove that I am more worthy than him, I can teach you secrets of my domain.”
The goddess, pleased with this answer, replied. “Reveal to me your secrets, so that my domain may grow, should you impress me, then I shall lay with you for a single night, but you must swear to never tell your brother.”
Eris’Neas swore to never speak of his victory over his brother and left the goddess’ presence. Moments later, the second brother, Cor’Neas, came before the goddess and professed his desire for her.
“What if I told you that moments ago your brother can to me asking for my hand?” She asked again, this time to the second brother.
Cor’Neas answered and said, “allow me to prove that I am more worthy than him, I can teach you secrets of my domain.”
The goddess, pleased once more with this answer, answered in return. “Reveal to me your secrets, so that my domain may grow, should you impress me, then I shall lay with you for a single night, but you must swear to never tell your brother.”
Cor’Neas swore to never speak of his victory over his brother and left the goddess’ presence.
Eris’Neas invited the goddess into his domain and taught her about the seasons of harvest and the gift of cultivated nature. He engaged her interest over flowers that bloomed with intoxicating properties and in turn, she persuaded the god to teach her the secrets of botany and medicine. Pleased with this wellspring of knowledge, she rewarded the god with a single night upon his fields, where they laid together in divine love.
The next day, Calust’Rea was taken by Cor’Neas into his domain, and taught her about the seasons of growth and the gift of wild nature. He engaged her interest over the many fruits that grew on trees, bushes and vines. She persuaded the god to teach her the secrets of his domain, but Cor’Neas hesitated.
“My goddess, my secret is a bewildering one, for I make from the wild fruits and plants nectars that alter the mind and beget madness,” the god explained.
But the goddess did not sway from her ambition, and responded. “Mine is the domain of mysteries and secrets, pleasures of the flesh and mind, allow me a drink, for I thirst. Find me in my domain when you are ready to impress me and share your secrets.”
The goddess left his domain, and the second brother went to work.
Cor’Neas took fruits from the vines that resembled the deep violet aura of the goddess, and he pressed and mixed and stirred the juices out into a wide pot. He blended and infused the deep violet liquid with flowers and sweet nectar, he added his spit into the pot and sealed it . The process took time, and the god purified the drink before presenting it to the goddess.
He came to her domain and presented his gift, his secret, a drink that could intoxicate the mind of the Children and gods alike. A deep violet, sickly sweet and bitter drink that enthralled all the moment it touched their lips. The goddess was pleased by this and demanded that he pour it into her chalice. He did so, and she drank. The goddess become enamored, filled with sated satisfaction and pleasure, and felt her domain expand beyond its limits.
Impressed with this gift, she gave the second brother two nights of divine love within her domain. She learned the secrets of his domain and of the fruits and flowers that make intoxicating substances. Satisfied, the goddess proclaimed that the gift shall be named Wine, and it would become her sacred sacrifice. From that day, chalices would pour over with the deeply violet liquid, and the Children drank from her sweet gift to enthrall them to her whim.
The brothers, none the wiser, had both won the attention of the goddess, and lived in ignorant bliss of the trick she had played on them.
